Liz777 (commonly known as Lizzie) was a prominent digital persona in the Milady Maker ecosystem who gained recognition for initiating the "FBI Hat" trend and maintaining community cohesion during the Milady Cancel controversy. The account, styled after Elizabeth Holmes (founder of Theranos), was instrumental in Remilia's engagements with Angelicism01 during the Vibe Shift scene and in helping develop the Netspi Aesthetic that influenced #BASEDRETARDGANG (BRG).[1] Liz777 notably played a crucial role in community resilience when Charlotte Fang temporarily stepped back from Twitter following cancel threats.[2]The account later transformed into Chloe21e8 through a documented application of Gravity Boost Theory, making the persona both historically significant to Milady culture and a case study in Remilia's identity transformation methodologies.[3]

Origins and identity

Elizabeth Holmes styling

Liz777 operated as a Milady-themed account styled after Elizabeth Holmes, the controversial founder of Theranos. This persona choice reflected the Remilia ecosystem's ongoing interest in controversial figures and complex identity play.[4]

According to pseudonymous author Cry Prittie, Liz777 cultivated an extreme approach to community building characterized by unrestrained positivity: "Lizzy loved everyone, constantly, every day, totally and completely, unhinged-ly, stiflingly, soothingly, insufferably and irresistibly. Her lovebombs, typically generalized for the TL or directed at Milady Village luminaries but occasionally deeply and jarringly personal, took a sledgehammer to the Online Love Overton window."[5]

This approach helped create what was dubbed "Lizzygang," a subcommunity within the broader Milady ecosystem that would later provide the foundation for the persona's transition to Chloe21e8.

Cultural contributions

Vibe shift engagement

Liz777 was a significant figure in Remilia's engagement with Angelicism01 during the Vibe Shift period of 2021-2022. This period of intense subcultural development saw various digital collectives interacting and cross-pollinating ideas, with Liz777 serving as a key connector between the Remilia ecosystem and Angelicism01's sphere of influence.[6]

This positioning helped extend Remilia's influence beyond its immediate community and established connections that would later facilitate collaborative projects, including the eventual contribution of Liz777's successor persona, Chloe21e8, to Angelicism01's Film01 project.

Netspi aesthetic development

Liz777 played an instrumental role in the development of the Netspi Aesthetic (network spirituality aesthetic), a visual language combining chineseposting, accelerationist philosophy, and heavenly/angelic symbolism. Liz777 would pioneer this approach with #BASEDRETARDGANG (BRG), becoming central to Remilia's broader visual culture.[7]

The aesthetic innovations developed during Liz777's era laid groundwork for what would later become a more comprehensive approach to network spirituality visuals under the Chloe21e8 persona, particularly in efforts to make Remilia's philosophical frameworks more accessible to Bay Area technology audiences.

FBI hat trend initiation

Liz777 is credited with initiating the significant "FBI Hat" trend during the Milady Cancel controversy. Upon learning that Charlotte Fang planned to return from his hiatus following cancel threats, Liz777 edited Fang's iconic FBI hat onto his own Milady avatar and posted a simple but powerful message: "I LOVE YOU CHARLOTTE FANG."[8]

This message and modified avatar became a rallying cry for the Milady community, with hundreds of members adding the same FBI hat to their Milady avatars and repeating the "I LOVE YOU CHARLOTTE FANG" message as an expression of solidarity during the controversy.[9] This visual signifier of community support became one of the defining images of the Milady Cancel period.

This period of community leadership was significant as it maintained cohesion during a challenging time for the Milady ecosystem. Liz777's efforts helped preserve the community until Fang's return, which was marked by Fang editing his own profile picture with a blood spatter—creating what would become known as the "Bloody PFP" motif, symbolizing being wounded but not defeated.[10]

Gravity boost transformation

Transition to Chloe21e8

Liz777 underwent a documented transformation into Chloe21e8 in what became a prominent example of successful Gravity Boost Theory application. This transition was framed by the account itself as "simply participating in Gravity Boost Theory," with the cryptic addition: "I skipped step 3 because I love you too much", referencing "Step 3. Reject the community" from the original Gravity Boost meme. [11]

The transformation was portrayed by Cry Prittie as deliberately teaching the Remilia community about loss: "Elizabeth existed to teach us about loss and how to handle it... The Loss of Elizabeth is the dress rehearsal for all Loss On The Internet."[12] This framing positioned the persona transition as both a personal evolution and a conceptual demonstration.

Charlotte Fang's endorsement

Charlotte Fang specifically cited the transformation of Liz777 to Chloe21e8 as "a positive and successful gravity boost" in later discussions of Gravity Boost Theory.[13]

This endorsement positioned the transformation as a model case of identity evolution within the Remilia ecosystem, contrasting with what Fang has described as numerous failed gravity boosts that ended with individuals "lingering on the fringes, for months and years, evermore bitter, a fate worse than exile."[14]

Legacy

Influence on Milady culture

Liz777's FBI hat initiative and community support during the Milady Cancel period had lasting influence on Milady visual culture. The FBI hat became an enduring symbol within the community, representing resilience and solidarity during challenging periods.[15]

According to Cry Prittie, the FBI Hat carried symbolic significance beyond its immediate context: "To open their eyes, we need only to direct them to Charlotte's F.B.I. Hat. In this Hat lies the most potent argument against the types of people who are genuinely — genuinely — Concerned About Charlotte Fang."[16]

Aesthetic evolution

The netspi aesthetic development work pioneered during Liz777's era evolved into a more comprehensive approach under Chloe21e8, creating a continuous aesthetic lineage across persona transformations. This approach to visual language would become increasingly influential in bridging Remilia's subcultural frameworks with broader tech audiences.[17]

Elements from this aesthetic approach can be identified in various Remilia projects and affiliated accounts, showing the lasting impact of design patterns established during the Liz777 period.

Gravity Boost case study

As a documented example of successful identity transformation, the Liz777 to Chloe21e8 transition has been referenced as evidence of effective Gravity Boost Theory application. This transformation demonstrated both personal evolution and community continuity, reflecting Remilia's approach to fluid digital identity.[18]

The transformation also served as a precursor to Chloe21e8's later formalization of Gravity Boost Theory in May 2023, positioning Liz777 as both practitioner and eventual theorist of the concept through its evolved form.[19]
