A Thousand Plateaus is a book by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, first published in French in 1980. It is the second volume of Capitalism and Schizophrenia, following Anti-Oedipus. Brian Massumi translated the English edition.
Organized into interconnected sections called plateaus, the book develops concepts including the rhizome, assemblages, and deterritorialization. Its discussion ranges across language, art, politics, social organization, and other fields. Rather than proceeding as a single linear argument, the work invites connections among its sections and between the diverse processes it examines.[1]
