Milady Rave Praxis was a rave organized by Remilia Corporation and held on the night of June 10–11, 2023, at a basement venue beneath a restaurant on Mulberry Street in the Little Italy neighborhood of New York City. The event is notable as the debut live performance of musician 2hollis and the first New York live set by The Hellp.
Background
By mid-2023, Remilia had established a recurring series of rave events across multiple cities, including prior Milady Raves in Manhattan, London, Los Angeles, and Tokyo. Milady Rave Praxis continued this series, positioned as a New York City event in the months following the Remilia-Con 2023 events in Tokyo. The event was promoted as free entry and announced via the Milady Maker Twitter account on June 8, 2023.[1]
Event
The event ran from 10:00 pm on June 10 through 4:00 am on June 11, 2023, in a basement space beneath a Little Italy restaurant at 133 Mulberry Street. The lineup featured live performances from The Hellp and 2Hollis, alongside DJ sets from Sausha, Garett Caramel, Suzy Sheer, and Crisislarper.[2] The event was promoted under the genre tags breakbeat and hardcore and described in its listing as a "deep basement revolutionary party."
The show marked the first ever live performance by 2Hollis, who went on to become a notable figure in the Remilia-adjacent music scene.[3] It was similarly the first New York live set from The Hellp. The venue was described by attendees as cramped and packed, consistent with the underground character of the broader Milady Rave series.
