Working across experimental hip-hop, electropop, and electronic music, he first gained broader attention with his 2022 album White Tiger and subsequently built an online following through singles including "Poster Boy" and "jeans." His first live performance took place at Milady Rave Praxis, a Remilia Corporation-organized event held in New York City in June 2023.
Background
Frazier-Herndon was born on January 5, 2004, in Altadena, California, and grew up in Chicago. His father is John Herndon (known as A Grape Dope), drummer of the experimental rock band Tortoise, and his mother is Kathryn Frazier, founder of music PR firm Biz 3 and co-founder of Owsla, the record label founded by Skrillex.[1] He began making music in 2018 under the alias Drippysoup before rebranding as 2hollis around 2020.
Career
2hollis released his debut album White Tiger in 2022, an experimental work blending ambient electronica and rap that attracted early critical notice. His 2023 album 2 included the single "Poster Boy," which was featured on the soundtrack of the video game EA Sports FC 24, and the track "Forfeit," which appeared in F1 23.[2]
His first live performance took place on June 10, 2023, at Milady Rave Praxis, an underground event organized by Remilia Corporation held beneath a Little Italy restaurant at 133 Mulberry Street in New York City. The show was a joint bill with fellow act The Hellp.[3][4]
In 2024, 2hollis served as the opening act for rapper Ken Carson's North American Chaos Tour, expanding his audience significantly. That same year he released his third studio album Boy, which received a favorable review from Pitchfork. He subsequently headlined his own Leg One tour. In 2025 he signed to Interscope Records and released the album Star.[5]
