FRUiTS x Remilia Rave: Tokyo, January 2026 was an underground music event co-organized by Remilia Corporation and FRUiTS Magazine, held on the night of January 17 into the early morning of January 18, 2026, at the Ohjo Building in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, Tokyo. The event brought together Remilia's online community with FRUiTS Magazine's legacy of documenting Tokyo street fashion subcultures, framed as a collision between fashion ravers and digital outsiders. Admission was ¥3,000 cash at the door.
Background
FRUiTS Magazine is a Japanese street fashion magazine founded by photographer Shoichi Aoki in 1997, known for documenting the distinctive street styles of Harajuku and serving as a primary record of Tokyo's subcultural fashion movements through the late 1990s and 2000s. The magazine ceased publication in 2017 as its editors noted the decline of distinctive street fashion in Harajuku, before later being revived. Aoki attended the January 2026 rave in person, photographing attendees in keeping with FRUiTS Magazine's documentary approach to street style.
The collaboration connected Remilia's practice of staging underground events with FRUiTS Magazine's cultural position as a chronicler of Tokyo subculture. The event's promotional text described it as "a night for the ones who live between the streets and the screen," positioning the crowd — fashion ravers and members of Remilia's online community — as a shared subculture visible through both Aoki's lens and Remilia's digital context. Live tattoos inspired by FRUiTS and Remilia aesthetics were available on-site, alongside pop-ups by fashion brands.
Event
The event took place at the Ohjo Building, 1-13-2 Kabukicho, Shinjuku, running from 22:00 to 05:00. It was promoted by Masa and listed on Resident Advisor with a minimum age of 20.[1]
The DJ lineup consisted of Siyouu, Piccolo, Tamanaramen, and Shino. Live performances were given by Lilniina and Kegøn. The event was tagged on Resident Advisor under the genres Techno and Industrial.
