Starbucks Kyoto is a background trait in the Redacted Remilio Babies NFT collection, depicting the Starbucks Ninenzaka Yasaka Chaya location in Kyoto, Japan.

Background
The Starbucks Ninenzaka Yasaka Chaya is a branch of Starbucks situated in a restored 100-year-old machiya townhouse on the Ninenzaka pedestrian lane in Kyoto's Higashiyama preservation district, opened in June 2017.[1] The interior preserves the traditional Japanese townhouse layout across two floors, with tatami seating areas, wooden lattice screens, and a garden view — an unusually intimate environment for a global chain store.
The location became widely circulated on social media as an example of Starbucks' localization strategy in Japan and as a visually striking juxtaposition of global consumer branding with traditional Japanese architecture. It is one of the most photographed Starbucks locations in the world and became a popular stop on Kyoto tourist itineraries, consistent with the Remilio collection's interest in destinations that function as social media pilgrimage sites.
