Farnsworth House is a background trait in the Redacted Remilio Babies NFT collection, depicting the Farnsworth House, a modernist weekend residence designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and completed in 1951 in Plano, Illinois.

Background
The Farnsworth House was commissioned by physician Edith Farnsworth as a weekend retreat and completed by Mies van der Rohe in 1951. The single-room glass and steel structure, elevated on eight white steel columns above the Fox River floodplain, is considered one of the most pure expressions of Miesian modernism and a landmark of twentieth-century architecture.[1] The near-total transparency of the glass walls creates an effect of the interior floating within the landscape. The house is now managed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and is a National Historic Landmark.
The commission's history was contentious: Farnsworth sued Mies for cost overruns, and their working relationship deteriorated. Despite this, the structure remains among the most reproduced architectural images in the world, and its aesthetic has been widely referenced in fashion, film, and art.
