World Computer Netizens is a generative profile picture NFT collection of 4,520 tokens on the MegaETH blockchain, created by digital artist Shiro.[1] The collection features hand-drawn character art depicting "netizens" described as online cyber entities and angels of the world computer, with 500 unique traits and 28 one-of-one pieces.[1] It is Shiro's second generative PFP collection following Shishi.
Development
The project was announced in November 2025 under the account @WCNetizens on X, with Shiro listed as founder and artist and Washi as co-founder and project manager.[2] Prior to mint, Shiro released an interactive Netizen builder tool on the shishi520.io website, allowing users to experiment with the collection's traits and assemble custom netizen characters.[3] Users who shared their creations on X with the hashtag #mynetizen were eligible for whitelist placement.
The collection was built on MegaETH, a high-throughput Ethereum-compatible blockchain, making it one of the early PFP collections to launch on that network. The project was featured on the OpenSea homepage ahead of mint.[4]
Launch
World Computer Netizens minted on February 10, 2026 at 3:00 PM UTC via OpenSea, with a phased mint granting early eligibility to holders of other MegaETH collections including Fluffle, Bad Bunnz, and Megalio.[5] The mint price ranged from 0.03 to 0.035 ETH depending on the phase. The collection sold out completely on launch day.[6]
Prior to mint, the project announced a partnership with Blackhaven's Early Access Campaign, offering holders a 33% point boost ahead of the first initial coin offering on MegaETH.[7]
