RemiliaNET

RemiliaNET is a social identity platform and single sign-on service developed by Remilia Corporation, launched in September 2025 as the foundational layer for the planned RemiliaChat social network.[1] The platform functions as an identity service layer that unifies Remilia's ecosystem, tracking achievements and engagement across NFT collections, events, and community activities.
Development and launch
RemiliaNET was announced following a two-week countdown on the Milady Cult website that generated speculation within the community. The platform launched on September 19, 2025, as part of Remilia's broader strategy to develop alternative social infrastructure.[2] According to Remilia Chief of Staff Michael Dragovic, the phased rollout approach begins with the identity layer before expanding to full social features including chat, content feeds, and blogging capabilities.
The platform's development followed Remilia Corporation's January 2025 relocation to Irvine, California, where the organization established dedicated development and design teams. This expansion marked a shift toward more formalized organizational structure and accelerated release schedules.
Features
Social credit system
RemiliaNET implements an automated social credit scoring system that evaluates users based on their participation across the Remilia ecosystem. The score updates dynamically based on user actions and is publicly displayed on profiles, creating a competitive global leaderboard. This system serves as a sybil detection mechanism and determines eligibility for token airdrops, feature unlocks, and aesthetic customization options.
Generative avatars
Users receive default Universal Basic Kagami profile pictures based on Remilia's Kagami Academy NFT, which are algorithmically generated based on their 12-character hexadecimal user ID. The Universal Basic Kagami design allows the avatar to function as a visual permalink, with the UID decodable from the image itself as well as from accompanying barcode and QR code representations. Users can alternatively connect crypto wallets to use NFTs from supported collections as profile pictures, including Milady Maker, Remilio Babies, and various derivative projects.
Beetleboy module

The Beetleboy game module functions as an integrated gamification system where users collect beetles and cheese through timed interactions. The module features varying beetle rarities with associated "beetle girl" characters, and operates on an evolving economy that developers actively adjust based on player behavior.[3] Seasonal beetles with limited-time availability were introduced during holiday-themed updates.[4]
Chat functionality
A global chat feature launched in late October 2025, requiring users to reach Level 10 in the Beetleboy module before gaining access. The chat integrates with Miladychan infrastructure, featuring real-time messaging, image sharing, and emoji reactions. RemiliaNET's single sign-on system allows users to authenticate on Miladychan while maintaining the option to post anonymously.
Achievement system
RemiliaNET automatically issues achievements for participation milestones and hidden features, expanding upon the Beetlepoints system used during previous Remilia launches. Achievements reward on-chain activities such as NFT minting, participation in Miladycraft Minecraft server, and engagement with alternate reality games. Seasonal surprise achievements are distributed to discourage systematic farming behavior.
Design philosophy
The platform's design reflects three core principles articulated in official documentation. The "Social Media as MMO" approach reimagines social networking through the lens of massive multiplayer games, citing platforms like Fortnite and Roblox as conceptual successors to traditional social media. A "Katamari Garden" philosophy emphasizes full data portability and cross-platform synchronization rather than user lock-in, operating on the premise that quality content naturally attracts users. The "Gamified Anti-sybil" approach uses multi-factor organic activity detection through gameplay, social interaction, and real-world event participation as an alternative to invasive identity verification.[1]
The platform incorporates generative sound effects on a pentatonic scale, providing interactive audio feedback without requiring large audio files. User customization is structured through constrained options, allowing personalization while maintaining interface coherence.
Integration and ecosystem
RemiliaNET serves as a centralized hub for announcements, RSVPs, applications, and communications across all Remilia projects. The platform is designed for integration with first-party Remilia ecosystem projects including physical events and retail operations, with third-party integration also planned. The identity layer will eventually form the basis of the social graph recommendation algorithm for the full RemiliaChat platform.[1]
Supported NFT collections have expanded through regular updates, incorporating derivative projects and community-created collections into the compatible profile picture ecosystem.[3][4]
Reception
The launch generated coverage in cryptocurrency and technology media, with Decrypt characterizing the initiative as serving the "diaspora of chan culture" and positioning it within broader conversations about social media alternatives. Dragovic described the project's ambition as extending beyond cryptocurrency to address perceived shortcomings in existing social platforms, stating that Remilia aims to "save the entire culture of the internet."[2]
