Maf Creeper is a shirt trait in the Milady Maker NFT collection, depicting a crewneck sweatshirt modelled after the Virginia Creeper crewneck produced by Raf Simons for his autumn-winter 2002 collection. The name combines "Milady" and "Raf," following the collection's convention of renaming brand references with an "M" prefix. A corresponding Maf Rothko trait references the same designer's AW08 collection.

Background
Raf Simons is a Belgian fashion designer whose eponymous label has been a defining force in avant-garde menswear since the 1990s. His AW02 collection, titled "Virginia Creeper," explored the duality between humanity and nature, referencing the Virginia Creeper plant (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) — an invasive vine that grows over human-made structures, slowly consuming them.[1] The collection drew on American collegiate and summer camp aesthetics, horror film imagery, and military garments, with garments chemically treated to deteriorate with wear over time, so that pieces that were sold in excellent condition would progressively rot and distress through use.[2]
The Virginia Creeper crewneck features the plant's name in collegiate block lettering across the chest alongside its scientific name, printed on a cotton terry sweatshirt treated with acid wash. It is considered one of the most iconic pieces in archive fashion, with the NEBRASKA sweatshirt from the same collection later cited as a direct reference by Virgil Abloh for Off-White.[3]
