Elena Velez SS2026
Elena Velez SS2026 was a fashion show held on September 16, 2025, during New York Fashion Week, presenting designer Elena Velez's Spring/Summer 2026 ready-to-wear collection. Titled Bad Land, the 30-look show took place at The Box, a cabaret club on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.[1]
The collection
Bad Land drew on Great Depression-era dandyism and dust bowl folklore. Velez described it as "a portrait of the dust bowl detachment, and folkloric escapism, of vagabonds, beatniks, prospectors, and gutter mystics." The collection featured denim bustier jackets, unbuttoned jersey knits, puff-sleeved prairie dresses, and a striped mini-dress, with lingerie elements produced in partnership with Ukrainian label Zhilyova. Workwear silhouettes were paired with corsetry and garter belts in what Velez called a rawer, less "sanitized" picture of femininity.[2]
The show continued Velez's recurring theme of the "female anti-hero," characters she sees as more honest than the idealized portrayals common in fashion.[3]
Remilia Corporation afterparty
Remilia Corporation co-hosted the official afterparty for the show, their first collaboration with Velez. The event featured live performances by Skuzland, Damon RSH, and Boys in Blush and was documented by The Cobrasnake. The partnership expanded the following season into Remilia Atelier, which debuted at the Elena Velez AW2026 show in February 2026.
