somewheresy is a New York City-based concept artist and software engineer active in the Remilia Corporation community. Operating under the handle ∿ on X (formerly Twitter), they are the founder and chief executive of Somewhere Systems, a hypermedia engineering company, and serve as principal engineer at Actual Computer.[1][2]
Work
Somewheresy idenifies professionally as a concept artist. Through Somewhere Systems, somewheresy has developed a number of open-source software projects, including Centience, described as an autonomous agent engine, and Dataclysm, a tool for generating embeddings from PubMed, arXiv, and Wikipedia datasets for use in local large language model inference and retrieval-augmented generation.[3] The company's stated orientation is hypermedia engineering.
