Retart is a hand-drawn character NFT collection created by pee pee pingling(also known as Pingus) launched on the Ethereum blockchain in January 2025[1]. The collection is actively updated by Pingus, who mints new pieces on OpenSea regularly based on community requests or personal inspiration. Each custom request is currently priced at 0.1 ETH[2].
Retart features a signature face template with cute eyes and a mouth that follows a "Neo-Chibi" aesthetic. Using this consistent facial design, the collection reimagines a wide variety of subjects, including food, plants, animals, and various animation characters.
The artist’s creative process is notably unique and lo-fi. Each Retart character is hand-drawn on an LG Stylo 4 phone using a basic notes app. Following the initial drawing, imgflip.com is used to bring the characters to life before they are shared with the community.[3]
Retart has gained significant popularity within the Milady community. Its cultural impact was further highlighted when Charlotte Fang, the CEO of Remilia Corporation, updated his X profile picture to feature the signature Retart eyes and mouth.
