Nochillio is a collection of 1337 unique digital profile picture NFTs inspired by Milady Maker and the overall Remilia ecosystem. Created by artist thetopsignal as part of the NO CHILL ecosystem to bring autistic joy and nostalgia to the red chain[1], the collection features neochibi-style characters with elongated skulls. The project has a cult-like following on the Avalanche ecosystem and is considered a derivative work under the broader Milady ecosystem.
Development
Nochillio was created by artist thetopsignal (also known as Nochillionaire) along with core members of the NO CHILL project providing social and technical support. The development took several months with thetopsignal experimenting with aesthetics and traits to find the appropriate balance necessary for adoption within the Avalanche ecosystem.
Launch
Nochillio was launched on July 8, 2024[2], minting 1337 NFTs on the Avalanche blockchain as ERC-721 tokens. The collection was deployed to contract address 0x204b3EE3f9bDCDe258BA3F74dE76ea8Eedf0A36A.
Users were able to mint up to two NFTs per wallet at a price of 2.222 AVAX. A whitelist period was offered that lasted one hour. During the whitelist period, users could mint one nochillio NFT for 1.337 AVAX.
Community and Ecosystem
Nochillio exists within the broader Milady and Remilia derivative ecosystem. It is the only Remilia derivative existing on the Avalanche blockchain. It is heavily tied to the NOCHILL memecoin that exists on Avalanche, which was launched several months prior to the NFT collection (on December 18, 2023) [3]
Due to their wider than normal heads, owners and users typically call them "wide heads" and use the tagline "w i d e r" when interacting on social media. This is interchanged with the other frequently used tag line, "nochillio", which acts as both a greeting and an acknowledgement.
The project has been recognized by Charlotte Fang with engagement on X[4] as well as the entire Avalanche ecosystem.[5] The project has also invested in the Remilia ecosystem.[6]
Nochillio trades on Salvor, Opensea, Joepegs, and Magic Eden. The NO CHILL memecoin's main liquidity pool is established at LFJ.
